Sehwag in doubt for CLT20 - Opener sustains ankle injury after poor World Cup.

COLOMBO: A ligament injury has thrown Virender Sehwag's participation in the Champions League Twenty20 in doubt.

The out-of-form opener, who represents Delhi Daredevils, has been advised two weeks of rest because of a left ankle ligament injury sustained against South Africa in India's last Super Eights match on Tuesday.

Sehwag sustained the injury celebrating Jacques Kallis' dismissal in the fourth over of the chase and was substituted by Manoj Tiwary. The India opener had a poor ICC World Twenty20, totalling 54 across three innings.

The CLT20 begins in South Africa from October 9 and Daredevils begin their campaign on October 13, against Kolkata Knight Riders at Centurion.
